My greatest passions in life are children and yoga. I adore them both and am so lucky to be able to combine the two and make a career out of it. I've been practising various types of yoga (kundalini, hatha, ashtanga) for over 12 years, and have been teaching children for 6 years and adults for over a year. I work in various health clubs, schools and nurseries throughout Grampian and also do birthday parties. I have two daughters, Levis and Kaiya, and we live in Aberdeenshire.
In January 2008 I was lucky enough to achieve another life aspiration (to teach adults yoga), and completed 200 hours of yoga teachers training in asana, pranyama, anatomy and study of yogic texts. I am now qualified to teach Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. This was through a Yoga Alliance Registered School.
This year I have worked with Vinyasa Flow Expert, Seane Corn in New York (www.seanecorn.com), Brian Cooper (www.briancooper.eu), and Victoria Bosso (www.victoriabosso.com). In November I will be heading to Kerala, India for an advanced teacher training course (working towards my RYT 500).
I also held interactive workshops at the Early Years Conference in May this year; a seminar that brought together influential thinkers and practitioners in early years to share their experience, knowledge and vision on contemporary themes and issues in early development development.
In late June I am hoping to gain my second degree Reiki with traditional Reiki master, Victoria Mulhearn, which will enable me to help relax/refresh my students further.

My teaching style is about having fun while learning about yourself. It is not important how flexible you are, it is about accepting that you are perfect just the way you are. The aim is for you to leave my class feeling really good inside and out.
Everyone has an inner child and I hope to convey this in my adults’ sessions as well as the kids. I incorporate a mix of hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa flow and kundalini yoga in both kids and adults classes.
Relaxation can sometimes be a deep yoga nidra session or a sparkling meditation for shining stars. It really depends on the type of day, time of day and energy within the room. I try to work with how people are feeling and try to give them a stimulating/relaxing/refreshing session dependent on the mood of the class.
Namaste
