I've been practising various types of yoga (kundalini, hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa flow) for 14 years, and have been teaching children & special needs groups for over 7 years and adults for over 2 years. I work in various health clubs, schools and nurseries in Aberdeen and throughout Grampian, and also provide kids' birthday parties in homes and various other venues in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. I hold adults & family yoga workshops, and will be holding my first weekend retreat in Spain this year.
Last year I worked with vinyasa flow expert, Seane Corn (www.seanecorn.com), Brian Cooper (www.briancooper.eu), and Michael Gannon (www.ashtangaamericas.com). I also held interactive childrens yoga workshops for teachers at the Early Years Conference last year, and in November went to Kerala, India for an advanced teacher training course (working towards my RYT 500).

This year I will be holding adults yoga workshops, a family yoga workshop in July, a guided meditation course, and a weekend retreat in Spain. I attended the German Yoga Conference in May, where I worked with Bryan Kest (www.poweryoga.com), Rod Stryker (www.parayoga.com)& Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa (www.goldenbridgeyoga.com). Rod Stryker's course 'Vinyasa Krama - the energetics of sequencing' was truly inspirational; he integrates tantric & ayurvedic philosophy into his practice(of which I have been studying for some time).
I also attended a weekend yoga stress relief course - about the healing combination of Yoga & Ayurveda - with Dr Vinod Kumar (www.ayurvedicquest.com) in June.
I have been fortunate to attend a vinyasa flow teacher training course with Seane Corn again in London in July. This is going to be a busy year, but one that will be worthwhile and enjoyable, and will hopefully benefit all my students. I will be completing my RYT 500 at the end of the year in HaraMara, Mexico, and am so privileged (and excited) to be asked to teach a children’s yoga workshop for the advanced yoga teachers on the course.
As ever I will be learning from my students, young and old, and enjoying life....:)

My teaching style is about having fun while learning about yourself. It is not important how flexible you are, it is about accepting that you are perfect just the way you are. The aim is for you to leave my class feeling really good inside and out.
Everyone has an inner child and I hope to convey this in my adults’ sessions as well as the kids. I incorporate a mix of hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa flow and kundalini yoga in both kids and adults classes.
Relaxation can sometimes be a deep yoga nidra session or a sparkling meditation for shining stars. It really depends on the type of day, time of day and energy within the room. I try to work with how people are feeling and try to give them a stimulating/relaxing/refreshing session dependent on the mood of the class.
