What are Osho Active Meditations?
Osho Active Meditations are a new way of taking care of both the outer and the inner you. Each meditation starts with physical activity such as breathing, shaking, dancing or humming and is followed by relaxation and stillness. This is when meditation can happen – a time to just be aware of your body sensations, thoughts and feelings in a self-accepting way without judgement.

How do they work?
Unrelieved tensions block the natural flow of energy in our bodies. This affects our ability to think and the way in which we relate to others. Osho Meditations dissolve these blocks and allow us to become more natural and relaxed.

Who are they for?
Osho Meditations are especially designed for people who want to bring a new quality of ease to their busy, pressured lives. For men and women who not only care about their bodies and their health, but who also like to feel at ease inside. For people who want to become more calm and flexible, without being controlled by the opinions of others.

Payment options

The retreat will be from Friday January 30th-Monday 2nd February. Flights are costing £167 return from Aberdeen at the moment (obviously the longer we leave it the more expensive they get); this will be left to you to organise but I will send you the details and costs of the flights. The retreat will cost aprox £450 sharing twin/double room or £575 own room (includes full board, airport transfers, two yoga classes and a guided meditation and a deep yoga nidra daily). A £150 deposit will be payable to secure booking with the balance made by 1st November or monthly payments can be arranged to spread out cost. Please call or email for booking form (

On the Sunday, we plan to visit the medina & souks for shopping (see the snake-charmers, sufi dancers, etc.) and have lunch (not included), and maybe investigate the ancient Kasbah on a horse & carriage ride. Once I know numbers then I can go ahead and book the right one riad for you. Every one is as beautiful as the next.

Here is a brief description of one of the riads:

A few steps from Jem‚a El Fna square, near the Medersa Ben Youssef, a little secret “derb” leads you to this magical place, absolute haven of peace, with an incomparable refinement.

The house offers bedrooms and suites with a sophisticated interior design, each one with its luxurious bathroom, where tadelakt, marble and zelliges blend with elegance.

Draperies, tissues, paintings, objects, everything has been bargain-hunted with passion by Camille, the owner, in order to create this exceptional atmosphere.

Two big lounges with a fireplace welcome you for comfortable evenings and, if you wish to isolate, read, or dream, you will be able to shelter, according to your envy, in the patio’s “b’hou” (small opened lounge), on the first floor gallery’s seat, or in the numerous corners of the panoramic terrace.
The patio, planted with orange trees, true “heart” of the house, changes atmosphere following the rhythm of seasons: a splash pool welcomes you during the warmest hours of the summer, and changes, during autumn, into an elegant and comfortable alcove where you will be able to curl up in the middle of carpets and soft pillows and taste a delicious mint tea.
A large lounge with a fireplace, a room and a suite open up to the patio on the ground floor.
Upstairs, another room and a large suite open up to a vast gallery giving onto the patio and a welcoming winter lounge with a fireplace will allow you to isolate.

In the new part of the house which has been just extended, two wonderful and luminous suites, and, under the glass roof of the patio, a large dining room with a fireplace will invite you to savour the tasty Moroccan cuisine of Nizha.

In the top of the house, a large terrace planted with trees with a wonderful view on the Atlas and the medina : two splash pools, two solariums where everyone can enjoy sun in the strictest privacy and several dining areas for breakfast or a candlelit dinner.

A new relaxation area located apart of the house’s ground floor offers you a hammam for 2 people and a massage room (only by appointment).

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning (except room 2 on the ground floor), bathroom with separated toilets, individual heating and safe. Internet connection and Wi-Fi.

Please let me know ASAP if you are considering this retreat so I can make arrangements for us.
